Setting Up Your Cisco Unity Connection Voice Mailbox

(Please read before starting)

You will be asked to setup (enroll) your mailbox the first time you access voice mail. Enrollment includes recording your name, recording a greeting, and changing the pin. Your temporary pin is 12345. Your new pin must be at least 4 digits in length.

Note: Do Not Hang up until you are finished with mailbox setup (enrollment). System will prompt you when you are finish

To access voice mail from your phone:

1. Lift handset or press Speaker button, receive extension dial tone.

2. Press your message button.

3. Enter your pin number followed by the # key when prompted. Remember to use temporary pin # (12345) for mailbox setup.

At the main menu:

Press 1, to listen to new messages. Press 3 1 to review saved messages

Press 2, to send a message. Press 4, to change setup options.

Press 5, to find a message

To access voice mail when off site:

1. Dial the voice mail number 720.337.9999 or dial your direct dial number.

2. When voice mail answers, press * key

3. Enter your mailbox ID (your extension number), followed by # key.

4. Enter your pin number followed by the # key.

While listening to a message (During message playback):

Press 1, to Rewind a message Press 5, Message properties Press 9, Increase volume

Press 2, to Pause/Resume Press 6, Fast playback Press #, Skip message, as as is

Press 3, to Fast-forward Press 6 6, Faster playback Press ##, Skip message, save as new

Press 3,3 Fast-forward to the end Press 7, Decrease volume

Press 4, Slower playback Press 8, Reset volume

Press 4 4, Slower playback

After listening to a message (End of message):

Press 1, Skip back Press 6, Forward Press 8,8 Call the User

Press 4, Replay message Press 7, Delete Press 9, Save/Restore as saved

Press 5, Play message properties Press 8, Reply Press #, Save as is

Press 8 2 Reply to all Press ## Save new/Restore as new

Sending messages to other subscribers:

Log into your mailbox

Press 2 to Send

Record and address your message

Press to # to Send or press 3 for Options, then press #

Note3: Step 3, pressing # # allows you to switch between name and extension number addressing.)

when listening to the message please press

6 to speed up the message, if it goes too fast, please click on 4 to slow it down
